Innovation

Tackling new ways of dealing with discrimination and inequality in the labour market.

Equal Brighton & Hove aims to break down barriers to employment through novel actions and activities. The project will support a better understanding of the local labour market and look for new opportunities to strengthen the economy. These novel approaches can be summarised as -

  • Action-orientated: developing new or improved methods, new uses of technology, or new approaches to integration of labour-market initiatives.
  • Goal-orientated: developing new qualifications, approaches to working with target groups, and ways of improving the move into employment for disadvantaged people within the city.
  • Context orientated: influencing change in Brighton & Hove’s labour market. Creating new networks for communication and awareness raising, and working with new partners to achieve certain goals.
