Outreach

The Outreach Network is open both to Equal funded projects and other organisations working with hard to reach groups in the area of skills and employability.

The Network was set up in April 2007, in response to an identified need for information exchange and sharing of best practice. Between May and November of that year, the Outreach Network held five networking lunches, each of which included a workshop with a focus activity and discussion.

Frontline staff from 18 organisations participated in the Network over this period. Events were funded and hosted by Equal and facilitated by Jane Zacharzewski, the Equal Outreach Co-ordinator.

The final project report is now available to download below.

Although Equal came to an end in December 2007, this website remains as a resource. The Outreach Network mailing list is still live and Jane has been in contact with members to discuss what information should go on the Outreach page for future use.

Notes from all the networking lunches and workshops can be found on the next page.

The Outreach Network held five events between May and November 2007. You can download notes and minutes from all the events below.

In November, the group heard a presentation on the new FSA Parents' Guide to Money and the anti-poverty work going on in Childrens' Centres. Jane still has some spare copies of the Parents' Guide to Money if anyone would like one.
