Breakaway Supported Employment have helped people with disabilities return to work for the last 10 years and have found that giving clients accurate, easy to read, in-work benefit summary information has been a key factor in increasing clients confidence to apply for jobs, attend interviews and concentrate on learning a new job.
Equal Brighton & Hove are hosting a seminar by Breakaway Supported Employment Service (Southdown Housing Association), which is an opportunity to hear about tools that they have developed for benefit calculation:
Both could help staff with accuracy of benefit calculations and relevant work/benefit related rules and speed.
They are piloting a scheme to sell this paperwork and would like the chance to show it to you, get feedback on relevance to your services and hope that you may consider purchasing these. (The Excel Table and benefit rules is £10 on a disk.)
The seminar takes place at Equal's Offices at New England House (click for directions), Wednesday 26th of September at 10.30 and should last about an hour. If you intend to come, please email linden.farrer@brighton-hove.gov.uk.
