Approved Provider Standard - Awareness Workshop 22nd March 2007

The agenda for the APS workshop is now available to download. The last few spaces are left, so please get in contact as soon as possible to reserve a space.

The Approved Provider Standard (APS) is the national quality award accepted by government departments and other funding bodies as the benchmark for organisations providing one to one volunteer mentoring or befriending. Organised by the National Mentoring and Befriending Foundation, the free workshop will provide a clearer understanding of the standard, how to apply for accreditation for your project as well as the wide ranging benefits offered, including:

  • Recognition for good practice
  • Entry onto a database of approved providers
  • Certification and use of the 'Approved Provider' logo
  • Increased public confidence in your mentoring or befriending programme
  • Help in promoting your programme to potential clients and volunteers
  • Provision of a 'health check' for your programme

The free workshop, which will be followed by lunch, is to take place 22nd March 2007, 10 - 1pm at Equal Brighton and Hove, Unit 11, Level 5 South, New England House, New England Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 4GH.
