Introducing Hollingdean Steps Project

The Hollingdean Steps Project is now up and running, offering the people of Hollingdean a variety of services to help them build confidence, learn something new, or get a good job. A series of free drop-in activities have been arranged. These take place from 11am-1pm at the Hollingdean Community Centre, Thompson Road, Brighton, BN1 7BH:

  • March 15th - Arts & Crafts Taster: An opportunity to check out what the Hollingdean Opportunities Project can offer for free to get creative
  • March 29th - Skills for Life: Information on how to get GCSEs in Maths and English
  • April 12th - Child & Teenage Psychology Taster: Look at the minds and behaviour of young people
  • April 26th - Getting back to work: Benefits and 'How to' advice
  • May 10th - Stress Besting: A Holistic Health taster to find out how to relax and unwind
  • May 24th - Adult Learners Week Careers Fair (11am-3pm): Stall and information and advice from NACRO, Working Together Project, The Princes Trust, NHS, Centre for Continuing Education
  • June 7th - Introduction to Working in Chaldcare Taster: Run by the Children's Information Service
  • June 21st - Fun & Frolics Taster: Belly dancing, circus skills and more!
  • Other services include HOP home visits and outreach, information on volunteering, and more.
