Care Co-Ops Announced Free Nutrition Courses

Care Co-ops are delighted to offer their Nutrition Courses to all Equal beneficiaries. These courses, recently accredited to the Open College Network, are excellent for anyone wanting to learn more about healthy diets, cooking, nutrition and the effects of food on mood.

The classes are held in a friendly, supportive environment and give participants the opportunity to go for the nationally recognised certificate if they want to.

Dates and times:

  • Basic Cookery (level 1) – Wednesday 15th and Wednesday 22nd August, 10am – 2pm (includes food)
  • Basic Nutrition for Health (level 1) – Wednesday 29th August and Wednesday 5th September, 10am – 2pm
  • Food and Mood (level 2) – Runs for 4 Wednesdays from 12th September to Wednesday 3rd October from 10am – 2pm
  • Nutrition for Life (level 2) – Runs for 4 Wednesdays from 14th November to Wednesday 5th December, from 10am – 2pm

All service users will receive a certificate of attendance and we can provide bus tickets for those that need them.
The courses will take place at the Community Mental Health Centre at the Brighton General Hospital.
