Description:
This conference organised by the Community University Partnership Programme aims to:
- To present and discuss latest local and national research and information on social mentoring and befriending
- To identify gaps for multi-disciplinary support services and processes
- To develop practical ideas for cross-disciplinary practice, training and research
- To support workshops and discussion on key themes: refugees & asylum seekers; disadvantage and inequality; health, social care and disability; employment
- To provide the opportunity to network and pass on good practice
The conference is aimed at:
Local authorities, PCTs and Health Trusts, voluntary and community organisations, local businesses, HE institutions, project co-ordinators, project managers, researchers, academics, practitioners, policy makers, advocates and anyone involved in or interested in social mentoring and befriending.
