EBH Development Workshops
Two development days have been organised by the Core Team, to take place between 9.30am and 1pm on the 22nd and 27th of November at the Brighthelm Centre in Brighton.
These aim to build on the lessons of the Equal programme, build capacity, and are aimed at all organisations in the community and voluntary sector involved in seeking funding as well as those organisations that provide funding.
The workshops will cover good practice and lessons learnt from Equal about seeking and providing funding from start to finish of a project.
Who will benefit from attendance?
Those involved in the funding process, whether as applicant or funding body.
Workshop 1: Building Good Practice into your Organisation (Thursday 22nd November). Facilitated by The Working Together Project, this workshop will give an overview of effective strategies to decide your funding needs and priorities, how to develop effective relationships with funders, how to ensure that the correct financial processes are in place, how to prepare properly for audits, as well as how to write an effective application. The workshop will showcase examples of good practice around project planning, resourcing and communication.
Workshop 2: How Funding Organisations Can Learn From the Lessons of Equal (Tuesday 27th November). This will feature presentations by researchers from the University of Brighton and the University of Sussex involved in Equal’s Action 3 research phase, and Step Ahead Research who are evaluating the programme, to stimulate a wide-ranging debate with key ‘players’ from funding agencies such as the LSC, JCP and BHCC.
Both workshops are free and lunch will be provided.
Booking is essential, and we anticipate places going very quickly. Please EBH Admin or phone 01273 294670 to book your place.
